Ax-throwing woman chases burglar from home, police say

A tomahawk-throwing champion chased a burglar from her Hemet home with an ax after he tried to steal a watch from her wrist while she slept, police said.

When the woman awoke Saturday morning to find a man in her apartment trying to steal her watch, she “armed herself with a throwing ax and chased the suspect from her residence,” according to a statement from the Hemet Police Department.

Officer Dave Purcell saw a bicycle tire protruding from a bush nearby and discovered Nicholas Ulloa, 22, hiding behind it with several bags of property containing items with the caller’s name on them. Full Article
