Florida – A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot at the Dayton Mall in Miami at 10 a.m. on Saturday after he allegedly tried to steal a pair of Air Jordans from a man who was able to buy a pair of the expensive, limited-edition basketball sneakers.
Jawaad Jabbar (picture) and two friends reportedly approached a male adult, who was exiting the mall with another man, and threatened them with a gun, demanding he turn over his Air Jordans, reports WHIO.
“The juvenile wasn’t able to get in line to get these shoes that were being sold and decided to try to take them from somebody who did get some shoes, with force with a firearm,” said Miami Twp. Police Sgt. Jay Phares.
The shooter has a concealed-carry permit and has been questioned. The two other teens who were with Jawaad are in custody. More
