One birthday celebration was ruined by another after a Port St. Lucie man broke into a woman’s car last week and stole her iPad tablet, city police said.
Officers arrested Ainsley Gayle Jr. Friday after tracking the stolen $680 iPad to his home in Port St. Lucie, according to an arrest report made public Monday.
A 45-year-old woman told police she had come home Friday and was bringing items inside when her iPad slipped out of her purse and fell onto the driver’s side floor.
The woman said she planned to go back for the tablet but was surprised by a birthday party. More
